[Class 20 (ii)] A composite I or H-section stanchion comprises two pairs of metal elements of substantially Z-shape with the transversal 3a disposed at an obtuse angle to the parallel portions 1, 2 one of which 2 is flanged at 4 to form a groove for the reception of a wooden member, while the other 1 is joined in alignment with the unflanged portion of a similar element to constitute a web 1a the other elements being joined to form the composite section. Specifications 516,694 and 524,978 are referred to.
